Windows 10 Setting Colors

If you’re here, chances are you’re looking to change the colors on Windows 10. It’s nice to make Windows your own and customize it, luckily, it’s pretty straight forward and let's get started.

1.  First lets right click on your desktop and click personalize, like below:

2.  You will be presented with a new window, on the left you want to select colors:

3. You will be presented with multiple options:

    ·         Choose your color: This will allow you to select preset colors, either light, dark, or custom. Light and dark will be preset and make your backgrounds either light or dark by default. Custom allows you to select the colors manually.

·         Transparency effects: this will make all Windows from the operating system slightly transparent so you can see through it.

4. You can have the operating system automatically pick an accent color by checking the checkbox as pictured below. It will do its best to match the color depending on what background image you are using.

5.  Windows colors allow you to select the color you want constantly. As pictured below:

6. If you select the picture with the plus sign, it will bring up a new window that will allow you to pick a custom color.  This will allow you to get fine detail on what color you want. A bit extreme but if you’re super picky, this is for you.

7. 1.       The show accent color on the section of the following surface allows you to choose where the color shows up. You can choose:

  1. Start, Taskbar, and Action Center.
  2. Title bars and windows borders.

Hopefully, this was helpful to shed some light on all the color settings.
