Windows 10: How To Enable NTFS Compression

Windows 10 has the option to enable NTFS compression on your drive, this feature will automatically compress all files on the drive to a smaller size and do the work of this compression in the background for you.

But if you’re here you know this and just want to know how to enable this feature, so let’s get started:

1. Open file explorer.

2. On the left menu, click on this PC.

3. Then you want to right-click on the device you want to compress and click properties.(note, the drive you select must be NTFS format)

4. Then be sure the General tab on the top is selected.

5. The check "Compress this drive to save disk space".

6. Then select Apply and ok.

This will enable drive compression and could take some time for this to complete, wait for it to finish and you should be good to go.

Hey and welcome back to my tutorial on Windows 10 themes. That is welcome back as this is part 2 of the series. So go ahead and open up the themes section of your settings and you should see the mouse point options as pictured below: You will be prompted with a new window like below: You will have multiple sections to this window much like the sound customizations. You have at the top schemes. This is a drop list of all the prebuilt schemes that windows have prebuilt. You can go through each scheme and you will have multiple options for different mouse selections. So if you go through the schemes, some will make your default mouse point black and large, some of them will make your pointer white and large.
